fizik Nanuq GTX winter bike shoe

Just in time for colder temps, the new fizik Nanuq GTX winter bike shoe features GORE-TEX and a fleece liner to keep feet both dry and warm. The shoe is available in both clipless and flat versions and features a BOA lace system and integrated ankle sock. Singletracks tested another fizik winter shoe, the Terra Artica GTX, and it’s one of our favorites.

Salsa Cowbell and Cowchipper Carbon 2.0 handlebars

Salsa has updated the Cowbell and Cowchipper carbon drop bars with a new layup that’s designed to be even stronger to accommodate the clamping forces required by the latest brake and shift levers. The Salsa Cowbell 2.0 is still flared at 12° while the Cowchipper doubles that to 24° of flare. Both have a 31.8mm stem clamp diameter.

Chris King anodized thru axles

Most of us just use the thru axle that comes with our bike frame, though it can be a missed opportunity to add some style. Chris King has teamed up with the Robert Axle Project to offer color-matched thru axles so everything from the hub to the axle is on point. Not only are the axles design to look good, they’re also likely lighter than stock parts and are made in the USA.
